Hair Extensions NEED Proper Products

It’s essential that you use the right products to increase the lifespan of your hair extensions! That’s why I’ll get right to it: the best shampoos for hair extensions are sulfate free and gentle on the hair. All of these options are at different price points, so you will be able to find something suitable for your budget :) Here are a few that I love:

Kevin Murphy BALANCING.WASH ( not gluten free)

- citrus extract with Vitamin C & D to add shine to the hair

- green tea to help with moisture retention

- wheat amino acids for softness & shine

Amika Signature Shampoo

- Vitamin C & A to prevent oxidative stress

R+Co Gemstone Shampoo - Hibiscus extract to assist in softening the hair

- Pea Extract to preserve color

Along with the right shampoos and conditioners, it’s important that you apply oil at least once a day to keep the hair hydrated. I recommend to do this twice a day: once in the morning and once before bed. I recommend Olaplex no. 7 for this. IF you do decide to use any heat tools do not apply oil until after the styling process is done!
